was there a gasket on the side cover cus it kinda looks like orange etv sealant but it could also be that someone drained the oil out and put belray gear saver in it and it mixed like that

ya there was a gasket on the cover.....i cleaned it all out put new gaskets on the oil block off plate...gonna let it sit till morning then put top end on...and hopefully fire it up for the first time...thanks guys

depending on what oil was in it, usualy goes like a creamy colour when you get water in it, but that could be a bit of watery oil with rust mixed in. thats all i could think off. if its not that, someome made a pumkin slurry and put it in there.

there shouldnt have been oil in there, it should be tranny fluid correct? and oil turns like a chocolate milk color when water gets in it and i think tranny fluid gets orange and bubbly.. like that in the pics... any rust that you can see? if not then put it together and try it out

all tranny fluid is is a heavier weighted oil. Nothing more. Also some people use 10w-40 or whatever for their gear box. it is always a good idea to change all the fluids in your bike when you buy it off of somebody because you never know what they did to and and how long they let it sit there.

alight got it back together. only problem im having is with the kickstart...on the inside of case where the spring clip set into (the u shape) the case was ground down a little like the gear may have made some contact....i wasnt sure if it was gonna stay together but wanted to try it....so when i go to kick the kick doenst spring back and there is a little grinding like the gear is still making conatct....i installed the kickstart correct....my question is....if the case was ground down from the gear where the u shape parts of the clip sits, is there any other way around it other then a new case??....ill go out and tear it apart the take pics if that helps...thanks guys

i took it apart this morning and i was right , the spring was twisted and the spring clip was bent and not sitting in the right position in the case....heres some pics...know what?? is there any other way other then getting a new case?

oh man from the looks of those pictures, its not well taken care off. and tha counter balencer gear looks rusted. you better hope the transmision isnt all rusted

didi that bike sit outside for its whole life? it has rust all over the frame, swinger and carb...and thats just what I can see from that one picture.

i know right, maybe that's what that orange sh*t is.....a mouse or something crawled into the filler hole and got chopped up.
