good place to look at parts diagrams and or buy,i would get rid of that shiny metal hose clamp if i owned it lol i cant remember if you said what year your is?http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/oem-parts/Yamaha
Mine would be an "x" its a 1999 yfs200cc bored to something else. Wanna say 250 but not sure. Only thing that isn't stock on it is the pro circuit exhaust and the rebuilt engine
Also the year I was born. The only sentimental attachment I have to it so far, other than loving every bit of the thrill you get when you let off the clutch slowly and give it gas, before you know it you goin 40 to 60 with out even thinkin hah
I will go an buy one soon. I don't want to rig something and waste time trying to make something work to find out it might not. I just don't trust myself lol
Your not gonna be able to just run out an buy one, unless you buy one from Awk08 on here he sells them, or a motion pro kit for like 300ish. Its easy to build one, you just sound like you have absolutely no confidence in yourself, FYI you learn by making mistakes
Oh ok. Well this is gonna be nifty. I'll be back bright n early tomorrow. Don't know if I'll be able to get the stuff to build it tomorrow but Saturday I'm kickin it in gear an gonna try to accomplish something.
you can tell alot by just taking gas tank off, then cylinder head off,you can get a good look at it,then anneal head gasket if your in a pinch retorque head nuts to 20ft lbs...carb ect,put stuff in baggies and label them so you know what is what and make easier to re assemble...get some pics for us if you do tear it down we can tell you alot from a picget yourself a can of carb cleaner 3 bucks your going to need it
Your going to leak test before you pull the head off right? If you don't I'm guess a lot of people will stop looking at this thread since your not listening to very helpful directions and just being impatient.
