I need pics of both sides of your carb. Where and which gas lines are open to atmosphere and which ones actually connect to something.

I think I am just gonna take it in fix it and sell it for more than I got it for and buy a different one.

3 psi? I feel like something is wrong here. Did you have the tester completely seated? Tight seal? I mean you said it ran. If it had that low of compression it would never run.

First thing tomorrow hose try again. I made sure I had it completely inside the plug hole and that the hose was tightened down to the plug screw and that the gauge Was attached to the hose.

Dont over tighten it, couple snugs and your good. Hold wide open throttle and Kcik until the gauge stops moving. Usually like 6-8 kicks

im going with you have low compression do to running lean and also high possibility air leak, you mentioned someone not too bright rebuilt it, we see funky hose rigging, your running no exhaust coupler so your back pressure is all outta wack..... everything seams to be there tho, just need minor touching up and replace a few things and you will be in pretty good shape.

do you know if it still uses the oil mix tank or was that deleted and your premixing your gas? iv known ppl to run straight gas in a premix vehicle and after 3 days fry the top end with the same results your having... bought it running, as you keep poring in straight gas the engine is slowly dying till poof.
