where the heck is that overflow from crankcase going?
origionaly it goes under gas tank to under near front headlight?

I think it is being used as a syphon to pick up water.

ok just answer one ? did you take out pilot jet soak it in carb cleaner for like ten minutes and hold up to a light to be able to see through it?
if answer is no then it must be done,or you willl be pushing it to start

I was thinking the same thing, also do I not see the second vent hose in the rear shot?

I'm tellin ya I'm missin a hose or 2. Somethin ain't right I know that much

I feel that we need visit the possibility of low compression, a good reason that it will start when pushed but not when kicked.

you need to disconnect that from carb to allow it to breath the one i pointed out route it somewheres else with the end of hose open
you can buy a comp tester for 30 dollars or probably rent one?
should be around 120 psi

I second the compression. I got my tester from autozone. They had two models, both work, one is cheaper. Go for it.

Well I'm town bound again. Could possibly pick up a tester. If I'm not getting compression I'll worry about the entanglement of my gas lines after that.

Great idea, start at the top and work down.

Compression is needed for everything else to get in line!
