help fitting in carb

Hey guys my problem is I can't seem to get the carb to fit well. I'm just wondering if I used the stock boot from the jug to carb if it will fix it or will it fit bad. Also noticed that the plate that bolts to the reeds and back of the head says boyseen reeds and is the tip where the boot connects to has kinda of a turned down tip is this the same as stock.
anyway any help or sugestions would be great.

that is not a stock boot but it looks like a stock carb. you will probably just need to find ya a stock boot. i got some layin around i would send ya for 10 bux

but i see an intake and a seperate reed cage ???

if a rad valve, the reed cage and intake are all one piece,
either way... that rubber boot looks toast !

to use it:
i'd measure th OD. of the intake and carb, then order a cooresponding ID fitting from here, either a straight fitting if they are the same size, or a reducer fitting if they are different OD's...........

or find someone on here with a stock cage and boot
then use that rad valve (?) for the paperweight it was meant to be, LOL

or ultimately ....get a set v-force 3's

Ok and if you look close to the plate that holds in the reeds it says boyseen is that connected to the reeds? Like a rad valve? I think they used a radiator hose as a boot.

oh i see now the intake and reed cage are one. yeah go to that link awk gave ya and get a silicone boot to fit it.

the better option is a "fernco" fitting from a plumbing/home store
best option is the silicon intakes boot i posted the link to above

haha, 'do i use a radiator hose???' ah, NO! here's your sign...
perhaps some different clamps and the CORRECT boot would serve you well...
