hi, i just got a good working 2004 complete clutch(clutch basket inner hub) and put it on my 2001 blaster manual says it fits fine and it dose. But when i pull the clutch lever theirs tension and i can see the friction plates moving against the pressure plate so it seems to be working but i couldn't get the bike into neutral when pulled the clutch handle it would still be in gear. I though maybe it was just the it need to be filled with transmission fluid and warm up, so i closed it all back up put oil in and trued it on and let it war up for like 20mins nothing happened same problem, let it on for like 20 mins more and it still wasn't working any1 have any ideas what may be the problem? I know i installed the clutch right was pretty simple i looked at the manual and a video.

try adjusting the pressure plate rod.

in the center of the pressure plate is a rod with a nut on it, hold the rod with a phillips screw driver then loosen the nut,
turn the rod to the right about 1/2 - 1 full turn, that should give you a little more play in the clutch.

tighten the nut back down when you are down and reinstall the sidecover

i think you're onto it wolf, but instead of just blindly adjusting it, unhook the clutch cable at the lever, and make sure the arrow on the clutch arm lines up with the arrow on the case, then screw the rod in until you feel it touch, snug down the lock nut and reassemble, now give it a shot
