A few months ago I picked up an 01 Blaster for cheap ($150) missing the top end. Got the parts needed at a local shop (bored 0.060 over can, reeds, cage ect ) Right now I am sitting at about $450 totally invested and starting to get fed up.
It will not start w/o a shot of ether, and then when it does it runs like crap. It will not rev up, at WOT it is barely running, forget about trying to get it to idle.
The carb is clean, float is working, I have tried 2 different main jets (250, 270)
While messing with it earlier I noticed that I have almost NO exhaust pressure, as in I can have it fully reved (for what it does) and BARELY feel any pressure coming out of the pipe.
As far as I can tell all of the electronic controls for the carb are gone.
I dont know where to go from here, I really dont want to bring it to a shop and pay $75 an hr when it prob is something stupid.
The whole point of this quad is to have a cheap, pit bike, not a money pit. I have my 400ex for that I:I so any help is greatly appricated.
