First Post: I've been lurking for a bit since I just bought my blaster and there is a lot of great support here. I'm in need of some help please.
97 Blaster. completely stock to my knowledge when I purchased. After purchase I immediately deleted the oil injection pump and just filled with pre mixed (yes I used a kit from e-bay). 32:1.
Since purchase it has been a beast to start cold: 10-15 kicks for it to "catch". After doing a bit of research I decided to do some of the simpler upgrades/ repairs. So tonight I installed a Vito's TORS eliminator kit, installed new reeds (boyesen) and complete rebuilt the carb while I was at it. Now it starts much better 2-3 kicks but it will not idle at all. The throttle is very responsive and runs great as long as I keep "blipping" the throttle but I have the newly installed idle screw completely bottomed out and it continues to idle right down and die. To help with diagnostics I did shorten the receiver sleeve (the part that you have to grind down, then drill and tap for the idle screw to be threaded into) to the 1/2" that the installation kit said to, if anything I went a fraction of an inch deeper than suggested.
Please Help!!!
Thanks
