Hey hey hey. I need HELP PLEASE. A friend got an 05 blaster, motor was seized, I opened it up and the crank was seized with piston fragments in the bearings. So, I did a new Wiseco Crank kit with bearings seals gaskets. I had the top end bored to 66.5mm and put a wiseco 66.5mm piston kit in the top. Now, while I was at it I did a few extras. I put in a T.M. Oil Block Off kit, I added an idle scew to the carb and got the Motion Pro TORS eliminator kit.

Now, to start, the wiring was hacked up bad by the previous owner, they cut the oil injection sensor wires, the rear brake light wires, and I think a couple others (at the back of the harness by the intake tube/airbox there is a bundle of 7 wires that are cut) the ground is obviously intact, the TORS wires are intact, and the wires from the stator/generator to the plug etc. are intact.

In the front, the headlight wires are cut and there is no headlight. The wires for the e-brake sensor are intact, the TORS wires are intact, the CDI wires are intact, and that resistor things wires are intact. I unhooked and removed the TORS wire from the throttle to the connector, and obviously removed the TORS junk box on top of the carb and unhooked it. The headlight/kill switch has been cut out and removed and the key is dangling but connected.

So, I feel like everything is the way it should be to run, albeit FUBAR, but when I kick the bike over, it sparks and combusts once but wont totally fire up, it definately seems like something electrical is either malfunctioning or keeping it from starting like as if the TORS is killing it. I tried setting the parking brake and even tried with the parking break sensor pulled from its sleeve and therefore the prong extended (telling the system the brake is on) but still no runny runny. What am I missing?

I have disabled the TORS on the 87-02's before simply by unplugging both connectors at each end, is there something else that has to be done on the newer ones? I pulled the exhaust off to make sure it isnt clogged and choking it out, it isn't. I did install new Boyesen Carbon Fiber Reeds, but if anything I would think it should start easier with these on, not choke it. I NEED HELP!

Thanks in advance for any info you guys can give me.

the wires need to be cut and spliced together on 03+. where it goes into the carb, cut and splice together, the wires coming out of the box heading to the throttle, cut and splice those together also.

Hey thanks so much, just so I am clear though, I removed the wire/sensor from the throttle, so I should cut below the connector that that would go into and splice them together? Also, at the other end, the tors box is gone from atop the carb, so again, cut below the connector that it would go into if it was still there and splice them together? Thanks again!

yeah, you just need to complete the loop. ive got a '04 motor in mine so i had to do it.

Technically, only the throttle switch OR the carb switch needed to be jumped, but both should work fine. This should allow it to idle.

Another common problem you should be aware of is that e-brake switch on the clutch perch. If that becomes activated, it will cause the motor not to rev even when it idles fine. The easy fix is to just unplug the switch.
