Just got me a 2001 Blaster. It is stock at this point, but my hydraulic rear brakes will be here in a couple of days, then its on to the TORS eliminator and oil pump block off, and so on and so fourth.

I am glad to be here. If it were not for the info I have found on this site I would be selling my Blaster. (cause the rear brakes suck!)
It was kind of scary the first time I took it for a ride and it didn't even slow down, till I grabbed the fronts.

i rode just fronts for the first 8 months of having my blasty! That is a nice blaster for your first buddie! Enjoy and we will be looking foward to seeing the upgrades.
I used to lousy rear brakes to negotiate a better price for one of the Blasters... A $25 cable took care of that problem for us.

My rear brakes come in tomorrow, so while I was waiting I used one of the how-to's I saw here and made up some nice air scoops out of 1/8th inch aluminum. They came out pretty well.
