Heat! Is it a problem?

I now own two Blasters and plan on purchasing two more shortly. We live in Arizona and plan on riding year round. If I have plug chopped the bike and leak tested it (and everything is perfect), should I have any concerns with running the bikes in the dead of summer (100-120 degrees Fahrenheit)?

I realize the bikes are air cooled and wouldn't be idling.

i'd throw an extra size or 2 of main jet in them, just for the added cooling of the extra fuel.
forget about optimal performance in those temps and jet rich, right below fouling plugs

by the sounds of things, most everything is ready to self combust out there ?

As long as the bikes have no airleaks and are jetted correctly you should have no problems. As always it doesn't hurt to take precautions and give it some cool down time every so often. Also some air scoops wouldn't be a bad idea. They are supposed to deflect more air towards the cylinder to help keep it cool.

I live in a hot climate in Australia and I choose to run bean oil at 25:1 with a richer than optimum jetting.

Unless you are stuffing air blocking bling to block the airflow you will not need to add air scoops.
