- Where Is the Lighting Coil located? Is It on the stator?

that box is meant for the yamaha STD issue tool kit.

stick a multimeter in the head light socket and fire up the bike, do you get a reading? hit the swith on and off--anything? if you do get a reading, is it very high and not stop at 12-13V? if so, your voltage regulator id blown, if not, use the multimeter to test your switch on the bars at the plug under hood. if the switch is working but you not getting voltage to the socket then you will need to look a bit harder, perhaps the stator is shot, but just test the other stuff 1st.

Wiring up a battery is pretty simple and only takes 2 extra parts aside form what blasters come with stock.

First you need to remove the magneto rotor.

Second cut the ground "tag" off the lighting coil (this is the part that is screwed in with the mount of the coil.)

Solder a wire to the wire that is now exposed after removing the ground tag.

Run this wire out of the magneto assembly with your other wires.

Run your new wire and the other Yel/Red wire to a Regulator/Rectifier (like one available from Ricky Stator).

Both wires will connect to Yellow wires on the Reg/Rec.

From here run the RED wire to your battery positive, and BLACK to battery negative.

Then connect your Lighting wires to the battery positive terminal.

Simple enough

here is a VERY rudimentary drawing. if you want to use Hi/Lo then just wire accordingly on the switch
