Headlight wiring

are the wires hooked up right....i know you already had a thread on this did you check things out
worked before then i took everything apart to clean it.. and boom its not working right.. the wires are hooked up but im guessing wrong.. i need to know what the green black and yellow wires go to.. i have them green to green yeller to yeller and black to black white stripe.. i tried switchin it to black on black but then it wouldnt kick over lol.
If you had black to black/white and you got a spark, your on/off switch was probably off, therefore causing it to act as on since you had them wired wrong.
Plug everything up to its matching colored wire, double check it, make sure the on/off switch is ON... and try it again without your lights hooked up. If it works, rewire your lights back to the harness, if it doesn't work, double check it again.

These are stock lights right? If they aren't, they might be trying to suck too much power from the bike, causing it to kill.

black needs to go to black the black/white is for the key switch......just take a wire fomr the black wire in the light and run it to a screw/bolt on the frame
so ur saying i need to splice the black wire coming from the light into another wire for a ground? and also connect it to the straight black wire?
