2000 blaster headlight not working I checked the yellow red wire before the switch and had 9v-10v ac un till I reved it then it went over 20v ac checked it at the socket and had .85v there. The bulb looks good and has continuity not sure what else to check any help appreciated.

If the voltage is soaring over about 14 volts the regulator is not doing its job.

The over voltage could have caused the switch to arc and the contacts are dirty, which may be the cause of the low voltage at the socket.

Sometimes a dirty ground can cause voltage drop.

I just hooked up my headlight today and I notice it flickers according to throttle. More throttle more brighter flickering, less throttle lower dim light. Is this normal I understand there is no battery and light is powered off the strator. heres a quick video.

I changed the voltage regulator and still no dice looke around the bike and noticed yellow/red was disconnected at the back plugged it in got all excited and still nothing. Isn't there a headlight coil on the stator that could be bad if so how do I check it I've been googling an checking post for weeks now.
