Head temp?

What exactly are you asking? There is no way to measure the temp of the head on the blaster. They are air cooled and they dont have many over heating problems unless you are running the 240 kit. Also, burn the highest octain gas you can get.

I'm asking what the general head temp should be. You can buy infared testers for $25 or so. They are widely used in the radio controlled arena to measure nitro engine head temps. My engine seems to be getting hot (250-300F). It starts bogging and I'm trying to trouble shoot it, seems to be the engine temp.

yup, check the spark plug.
also, i don't think you should run high octane gas in a stock motor. 87 would prob run best in the stock motor w/ a stock head and non-hi comp piston....unless you've advanced timing.

I measured 150 degrees celcius on mine with a digital thermomiter....thats after running my new head, seems a bit hot to me.
