Hello, i just recently got a 2004 yamaha blaster, i am trying to clean the carburetor but i am having one problem, there is a black line on the right side of the carburetor that connects to the right side of the tyranny, does anyone know how to remove this line?

Oh i got it, thanks for all your help.

Just out of curiosity what is the thing above the carb? it is just loosely hanging up there with a few hoses on it. Does it have something to do with the oil injection? its kind of bother some.

that is the tors box. unless you get a new throttle cable and a tors elimination cap it just kinda hangs out up there

go to rockymountain.atv or ebay and buy yourself a tors elemenation cable and cap. it make workin on the carb way easier. you should also look into an oil injection block off kit. those systems tend to fail and blow up engines. then mix your gas 32/1 with some good quality oil.

Thanks for all your replies, I cleaned the carburetor and got it running but the oil light has come on. I should probably change the oil. How much oil should i put in the transmission after I drain the old stuff out?

Also i got it running after i cleaned the carburetor but when i first start it the bike idles really high, after I let it warm up for a few seconds it idles just fine.

After i get some fresh oil in it i am going to warm it up and see how it runs, but i am afraid it is going to sputter.( you know when the motor is cold and you rev it high it sounds different)
