so i was driving to school today and every single mailbox down my road was just open, so then a lady called our house and said she found some of our mail left in a ditch opened, and the sad part is that it was my dads birthday and some relatives sent mail with money in it and now it is all lost so yea i guess its time to get a locking mail box...

Thats shocking !! i hope yous can put some kind of claim in for loss of goods. Over here in the uk we dont have mail boxes we have letter box on our front doors just a metal flap postman lifts it up and pushes the letters into our front door and drops on our carpet in side the house so there is no way anyone could steal our mail unless someone broke into our home maybe its time that the usa and other states had the same to stop this from happing to anyone the only problem we have had over the pond is kids setting post boxes on fire but the royal mail keep trying to improve them every time so people's mail what they want to send is safe i was talking to our local post man (fred) just the other day when he dropped some parcels off for me and he was telling me that a diffrent post man had got the sack and jailed as he has been stealing packages only going for ipods mobile phones ipads cash along with many other things and he had been working for them over 10 years !! and they just found out its sad the world we live in cant trust anyone

wow now this really makes me mad becuase i just tracked a package that had some new parts in it for my blaster and it was supposed to be here the day the mail got jacked, wow if we catch these people there going to court and yeah its a felony to steal mail

Wow... that really sucks. Maybe one of your neighbors have security cameras (not too rare anymore) and you guys can get something on them... good luck.

I've never heard of a locking mailbox but I've never had any problems with anyone messing with stuff around here. I never lock my doors or even take my keys out of my vehicles when I'm at home. What parts were you waiting on?
