I just bought a 2004 yamaha blaster, and the guy i bought it from said it was really hard to start. well, its really hard to start. it takes about 10 kicks to get it to go, or more. the top end of the engine was rebuilt 3 weeks ago, and I have all the reciepts stating that. so anyone know what the problem may be?

thats for the ideas, im going to go check for air leaks etc. if the pilot jet is clogged I might as well just rebuild the carb while im in there

When you say cold, how cold? If your air temps have dropped significantly you will need to rejet. Turn the air screw in half turn/ raise the needle one notch and go up one on your main jet. Mine starts 2nd kick after making the above "seasonal" changes. gl
