Hammerite Paint Off Rims.

Hi guys as you can see in my sig picture i have yellow rims. i painted them with hammerite smooth yellow i want to go back to chrome rims and i am selling the rear rims as there YFZ Yamaha Rims and wanting blaster rims to go with my blaster hubs.

any suggestions on what to use?

So your wanting to sell your yfz rims/hubs and go back to blaster hubs/rims?

If you want to use aluminum rims with the blaster hubs i hink you'll have to go aftermarket- i didn't see any other common stock (aluminum) rim with the 4/100 bolt pattern.


You could just sell your painted yfz rims and get new unpainted ones while still using the yfz hubs

yeah mate i have the hubs already for the blaster. i was going to buy douglas rims from rocky mountain. just wondering how to get the paint off the rims as il sell them better if they were back to the original color. i had douglas rims before but they were damaged so i sold them but was wanting new ones anyway not sure what labels to go with though.

I know a guy that wont even change some of those thin douglas wheels. the .125 and .160 are the thin ones i think it is.

ITP bajas would be pretty sick, or even better- beadlocks- maybe paint your front rim black or something I:I

I have itp bajas but my tire is so goofy

use some nitro-mors paint stripper if you wanna get the paint off, paint it on very very thickly and let it sit for 30 mins then paint on another coat and let it sit for another 30 mins. By then it should begin to peel off by itself and you can help it with a brush and plastic scraper. hope this helps

Cheers Guys Going to get paint off for now and when iv got the money im going fot DWT beadlocks for front and the OMF beadlocks for the rear with maxxis razr 2 tires
