I tried following someones directions that was posted on this website but for some reason after i was finished doing what they told me my Blaster would'nt turn on.

I NEED HELP!

Did you follow the directions to do an 03+ blaster or directions for an 02 and earlier? because there are different steps, and with a 03+ blaster there is splicing involved.

Basically, unplug the wires to the carb and to the throttle switch.

Then, you need to connect the two wires from the harness that were going to the throttle switch together. How you do this is up to you. I made a jumper-connector, but it can be as simple as cutting off the harness connector and soldering the two wires together. You can twist and tape if you want, but I like nice solid connections.

Sorry, I don't have picture capability at the moment.

1) Look at the carb. There are wires coming from the box attached to the top of it. Follow those wires to where there is a plastic connector and unplug them. It should be just below the rear of the fuel tank. Take the seat off to be able to see better.

2) Look at the thumb throttle on your handlebars. There should be a couple of wires coming out of it. Follow them down to where they go under the hood and you should find a connector. (you might have to remove the hood) Unplug it. You can remove the switch entirely or just cut off the wires at the throttle.

3) Now what you want to do is jump those two wires up front that still lead to the main harness. The simplest thing to do is take the piece that went up to the throttle and and cut off all the wire but about two inches and the connector. Strip the ends of both wires and connect them together. Tape the connected ends and plug the connector back into the harness. It should now run fine.
