i pulled up the eagle tribune and on the front was an article about a man who died from injuries riding a dirt bike. obviously i had to pick it up and read so here a summary of what happened....
"A man from Lawrence, Massachusetts died yesterday of injuries suffered in a dirt bike accident on Sunday, only a day after becoming a U.S. citizen. Jonathan Garcia, 21, and newlywed and native of the Dominican republic died in the Massachusetts General Hospital after sustaining injuries. Garcia was riding his suzuki 125 (im betting it was a rm125) on the Rockingham Trial Rail bed with a friend, Danilo Gonzales just before 11am on Sunday when he hit a tree and was thrown from his bike. He was found lying face down in Ballard Pond and the bike was partially submerged in the water. Garcia was riding ahead and Gonzales, who was on a four wheeler, lost sight of him in a cloud of dust when Garcia truned a corner near the crossing of Warner Hill Road, according to Chris Mckee, a conservation officer with the Newhampshire Fish and Game department. Mckee said that the trail was very dusty and Gonzales told police he did no see the accident through the dirt being kick up. Garcia searched for him and saw the tire tracks veer off the trail into the woods and into a tree. Gonzales found Derry Police officer patrolling the trail on his ATV about a quarter mile from the accident. Rescue workers took Garcia to Parkland Medical Center by ambulance and later was helicoptered to the Massachusetts General Hospital. Garcia suffered serious chest and head injuries in the crash and later passed away in the hospital. The police impounded the Suzuki to inspected for mechanical failures...."
bottom line is ALWAYS wear your protective gear. you never know when ur gunna need it the most...
