how do you do that? ive got a FMF fatty but a sh*tty stock silencer still :( im guessing gutting it would work better for me?

its in my other garage, i dont go there till monday. ive seen a few people riding without the back bit thats holded in by three screws, so maybe if you tried takin that out and seeing how that feels.

All you need to do is take off the end cap. Three screws, its easy.

i dont know noob, i think you need the stinger in there for proper back pressure???
if that was a good thing to do, some of these pro's on here would be doing it???
i've never seen a blaster on here with that taken off
i,ve had more than 1 apart, and there's nothing in there to remove, i did find a "diy" on removing the spark arrestor, its a little cone shaped thing on the tube of the stinger, use a grinder to cut the 3 welds and pry it off then grind it smooth, i did it but dont know if i noticed any difference, the "diy" said something like "free power from your stock exhaust", search for it

you know? that pipe is going to rust its steel not aluminum inles you spray it with some high heat clear coat but that will take away some of the sheen im sure =/

errrmmm, ok thanks for the tip. im not looking to keep a gutted crappy stock silencer on for a long time just a little while.

This has been done (as well as jetting) to two Blasters that I know of and they both have better power and response. One of the blasters has over 300 hours on the engine w/o a problem. The jetting and taking off the end and removing the gutts from the silencer was done as soon as breakin was done. The pipe will still have more back-pressure than buying a new pipe or silencer. What could it hurt to try- the jetting is the only really important thing. Low back pressure will just make it run crappy- jetting can mess up the engine.
