Maybee you have answered your own question, it very well may be the case, the piston is scuffing the bore. It may pay to take the head off and have a look. How is the compression it will be down a lot if you a ring problem.

thank you ill check the compression tomorrow. i had planed on having it bored eventually but if the cylinder is scuffed ill be forced to do it a lil sooner thanks again

well your rings are supposed to run up and down the cylinder walls, thats their job, could also be really bad crank bearings, or ring flutter in their grooves, all point to worn out parts.

at least 10 kicks with throttle wide open to check compression,
kick it till the needle stops moving, then report back

nothing wrong with that, decent compression. take off the exhaust and check out the piston skirt and rings up the port. what does the spark plug look like?

a vid of the bike running with the noise?
