bhahahahahahaaaa....good point....well ride a blasty with drum junk and tell us how dangerous they are lol.......then ride with hydros, night and day diffrence

I was thinking they cant be good stock but especially with the Wildcard top end, pipe, 28mm carb and so on. Just seems scary to find out it wont stop... LOL

im beyond thankful that i put hydros on my blasty...it has already saved me a few times from a runaway throttle lol:D

I personally don't mind the drums, if you have them setup correctly they can work fine, after all they did run them on cars for years, and some still i imagine.

I do have a question though, an 03 setup with spindles and out will bolt up to older aarms correct?

personally i think the drum brakes suck ass on the blaster. i would upgrade if i could

I am pretty sure the 03-06 Blaster hydros bolt right on any year Blaster. I was actually watching a set off a 05 on eBay but the person ended the auction with about 10 minutes left.

yes the 03+ will bolt right up,
and the drums will work ok if set-up right.................till they get water in them, then they will start to stick, i have actually done one wheel stoppies, at about 45mph, in the middle of the woods, not very fun at all, hydro's rule!!!!!!!!

why won't the banshee spindles work? i noticed you said you needed the norm420 spindles so just wondering what the difference is.

actually the norman420 spindles are stock 90-02 spindles that are modified to accept banshee/warrior/raptor hubs and calipers

the 03-06 spindles and everything will NOT bolt on to an 88 blaster, possibly the 89 as well, they have a pinch bolt lower ball joint, like the new ones have on the top

Good save Brando!

I have modified a few sets of '88 spindles but I only do them when requested.

Always in search of orphan spindles
