Just bought 3 blasters 2 runners and 1 parts for the wife.wife's quad is a 1995 blaster complete procircit pipe think it's bored 30-40 over 21" tires.she a new rider and we are riding tight trails and she keeps killing it.so is there a good beginner gearing to get used to riding.i have these sprockets front 12 & 13 & 14 and rear 40 & 42 & 45.and I have 3 chains and a chain breaker.thanks for any and all input.

Stock gearing is a good beginner gearing, she just needs a little lesson on using the left foot.

No matter what gearing is used if the engine is allowed to struggle below the usable powerband it may stall!

Do not fall into the old trap of mixing and matching chains, or you will have worn out everything.

Sprockets and chains mate for life, and if mismatched can break and cause expensive/painful damage to bike and rider!

So is 13 40 gearing ok for a begginer that's what I have it at now.and thanks for the reply I really appreciate it.

The Blaster was sold as an entry level bike especially for the younger set and beginners.

But with a few dollars one can liven them up a lot.

2' strokes love being used in the upper rev range, let the revs die and the engine will stall.
