What kind of riding do you do? Do you ever redline fifth or sixth? How is your jetting as this may be part of the problem. If you never see the top of sixth gear I would put on a 13t front and try that. When I go to the dunes with my stock Blaster I have the same problem. I can only use up to 3rd in since it is the tallest gear that I can pull redline in the dunes. Fourth is just a touch too tall for me at the dunes for my weight and the stock power of the Blaster. I bought a 44T rear (10% lower gearing) so that I can have even more power in the lower gears and make fourth and up useable. The next time that I go to the dunes if I can't pull all of fourth then I am going to go to a 12T front w/ the 44T rear which should be around 20% lower than stock. Once modified I might go back to stock gearing 13/40 but only if I can pull all of fifth on the straights and along the ocean.

i ride on back roads and trails and big feilds

What gears do you spend most of your time in and what is the highest gear that you regularly top-out? Personnaly when I ride I have come into situations where even the stock gearing is not low enough for my tastes. Do you regularly ride in slow technical areas that bog your Blaster in 1st or 2nd? or require you to slip the clutch to climb over or go up something? If you spend most of your time in the lower gears and are not topping out 5th then I would probably lower the front sprocket to a stock 13T (maybe 12T you have to decide based on your riding style and terrain). If you are planning an engine build then you might be alright with leaving your current gearing alone.

well i have the 240 but im wondering if i grab a 40 or a with some 18 r 19inch wheels wat do u think and i usally go toabout 4 sometimes 5 but on the road i hit 6th

Okay, I then try putting on the stock rear 40t sprocket and see what happens. I have 20" razors on my Blaster and for ridding in the mountains and rocky trails I wish that I had gone with 22" rears. Personally, I spend so little time at WOT in sixth gear on mountain roads that I would rather sacrifice some top speed to gain more snap in the lower gears where I spend most of my time (when in open spaces most of my time is in the 35-45mph range- I guess that I am getting old X(). I may only top out at fifty but it is a whole lot more fun getting there and it is like only 5-7mph slower than stock. You may need to get some port work done- aggressive trail or maybe mx porting as you seem to have gotten used to the additional power and can use the additional power boost in the upper rpm's. Ultimately, you have to decide which is more important. And going to a shorter profile tire is going to have the same affect as adding teeth to the rear sprocket or removing teeth from the front sprocket and will take away from the top speed. It is probably cheaper to change gearing than to buy new tires.

ya its a ported 240 do u think 19in razrs

If you do not have the stock 40t rear or 13T front to try and are not worried about having a lower ground clearance then 18" or 19" razrs would be great. I do not have any engine work on my Blaster yet so I do not know what kind of power you are dealing with. Unless you have the tires already I would try a 13T front or 40T rear as you can get them for $15-$30 delivered if you shop around. I would go the lower priced route first just in case you do not like the results. That is unless you really want those low profile razrs then I say go for it and let us know how you like the changes.
