Gear Oil

I just recently did a rebuild, having a few issues but should be able to work them out, however i have a question. How much (in oz) gear oil do you put in the crank case? My friend did most of the work and he filled up when done. I know that after the break in period you should drain and re fill. what kind and how much? He recomended 80 90 lucas gear oil...

650ml of oil. pretty close to 2/3's of a quart

what do you recommend as far as brand / type / Weight?

Any 4 stroke 10w 30 engine oil with no friction modifiers.

Auto trans fluid type F.

An oil designed for motorcycles with wet clutches.

Personally I prefer option one but they all will work just as well.
