No bro, use a good gasket set, they are essential to the motor. They are used for a reason. Gaskets are not something you want to skimp on!!!!!!
I use cosmetic gaskets on all my bikes/quads.

Also when you put on new gaskets make sure you torque the bolts and nuts to the specifications that are givin by the manufactorer and in the order they recommend.

Also remember when you torque the bolss/nuts, using swivles or extentions changes the torqure value.
