first of all DO NOT RUN THE ENGINE ANY MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!

you need to replace the stator side crank seal. get a GOOD Seal (i prefer OEM Yamaha seals). you will also need a flywheel puller. a holder makes life much easier, but isn't required. make sure that you torque the flywheel to spec afterwords!

x1000! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ i:i

also, a leak down tester should be added to your toolbox!!!! this will help you verify the repair, as well as do diagnostics in the future

alright thank you but today i went to the yamaha store and bought a crank seal and put it on today but when i got on it and kicked it. it still leaked and how do hold the flywheel when trying to tighten it?

Either the case is cracked or broken, or the fuel is leaking out of the carb and migrating trhere.

A leak down test is required to see if it is the case.

Do not ride it!

listen to these guys they know what they are talking about i just blew up my motor today cause i thought i knew what i was doing. if i would of taken there advice(which is why they are here) i would have alot fatter wallet:(

alright but how do i hold the flywheel while trying to tighten it? and i just dont get it because i put a new seal in it and the old one looked really bad but i replaced it with a new one and it still leaks. Does the flywheel got to be tight so it can push that seal down or what???

Get yourself a flywheel holder also called a clutch holder. To hold flywheel while u tighten it and it could be a cracked crank case causing gas to leak out. You should leak test to be sure. Slickerthanyou makes great testers. Pm him if u need one

if it's still leaking, there's still a problem. leave the flywheel off for now until you get it actually fixed.
