Ok, So after watching Huevos 7, Huevos 8, and Huevos 9, Ive decided what I want to do with my blaster. Pretty much every single rider/racer in the videos had YFZ450's. I did see a few banshees in it and a TRX450 in it also. My decision is to completely make my blaster into legit RACE READY. Im going with a black and candy red kind of scheme..
+4 extended axel (probably lonestar racing)
+3+1 a-arms (Hermann) and probably a
laeger extended swinger...
Elka Elite suspension, front and rear.
Maier racing front plastic...
L.A. Sleeve BBK,
18" holeshots rear with douglass beadlocks
holeshots in the front too
racing nerfs with heelguards attatched
F7 exhaust
v-force reeds
Keihin 35mm air striker carb
Pro Taper handlebars
Powermadd Handguards

This is mostly whats going to happen. This wont be for 5 years. i will be getting a job working at an airport and the start off salary is around $25,000 a year. My dad has worked their for over 20 years and he makes a solid $115,000 a year without overtime. What do you guys think?

ya didn't think you would for 25K, but at 18, you sure you even will still have the blaster?

hopefully.... my mom just got her dental hygiene license, starting off salary is $80,000 and she just got hired, so we will be packing a lot of money in, enough for me to go to college and all of my other school crap that takes money

Ahhh yes, i remember making plans like that all the time when i was younger. Im not saying im older or anything but when i was 13 i thought of sh*t like that all the time. Trust me, when your 18, your not gunna wanna work on your blaster, youll want to work on your car. Plus the fact that you might not even have your blaster 5 years from now.

yea true true... your right... hahaa.... but if i get a 71 oldsmobile i dont think i will be thinking about my car

well..... i was thinking of getting a yfz at around 5 years from now.... i would deffinatly choose a yfz over my blaster anyday, but my blaster means alot to me... decisions decisions

just some words of advice from a not so old guy, just go with the flow, planning does nothing but waste time, i am care-free at heart so i just do things and then think about it later, some times it works sometimes it doesn't, but it is always a surprise

thats a fresh way of thinking.... i'll do that

5 years from now, the yfz isnt going to be such a high quad. 5 years from now, theres going to be something 10 times better. Look at those ktm 525 for instances. As said before, go with the flow of everything. 5 years is a huge amount of time

I totally agree here, I though the same as you a few years ago. Had plans for my blaster exactly like you. Guess what, I parted it out and now own a jeep. So just go with the flow, also who knows where this economy will be in 5 years for all we know china could own us by then haha, probably not gonna happen but you never know. So just flow and let life come don't plan it just ends in disappointment most of the time
