i have got an 01 blaster that im doing a ground up rebuild. slowly but surely. right now im waiting on some parts doing a full top end erbuild. and im in the process of sanding my frame. BY HAND it sucks. any suggestions on how to remove the paint without sandind i know i can have it sandblasted but idk hom much it would cost. but any other suggestions. thanks also pics to come soon.

airplane paint remover, available at most auto and hardware stores, red can with an airplane on it
clean the frame good, it won't work on areas where there is grease, brush it on thick, let sit for 20-30 minutes, pressure wash off

thanks guys ill check out the auto parts stor tomrrow thanks. also do u know how many posts you have to have to post to the for sale thread

30 posts plus pay the $10 supporting fee < recommended

or 300 posts

oo wow. soo if i make 300 post's i wont have to pay the ten dollars lmao im a cheappy and need money for the build i have alot of parts that i dont need.

if you are going to be doing a full on build, 10 bucks is a drop in the bucket. that's just a couple cans of spray bomb

yeahh. bbut the thing is. i go to school and need money cuz i owe some money to a guy that i bought a bunch of parts from. and also if you all know anyone that needs a trans bottom end or a frame and anything that goes on a frame. i got it all just about.

Bust the old paint up with coarse abrasive paper first, no need to go overboard, just enough for the stripper to bite into.

Cover all the areas of stripper with aluminium cooking foil, wait 30mins, remove foil and hey presto, no paint.

Method works well with el cheepo strippers as the solvents bite into the old paint, not escape to the atmosphere. Takes a little longer but gets all the paint the first time. :)

Cover all the areas of stripper with aluminium cooking foil,

Make sure you cover the stripper as soon as you get it on.

The idea is to stop the solvents in the stripper evaporating, keeping it active to burn into the old paint.

Its a messy job, so make sure you wear rubber gloves and eye protection. :)

I thought strippers where supposed to uncover themselves ?

Never heard of covering them with aluminum foil but hey if thats you kink ...
