Fuel mix question

Do you have the modifications necessary to need/use the higher octain? Milled/redesigned head- higher compression? If not you may actually make less power.

yes I have the supporting mods, im bores and ported and a few other things. My blasters compression was at 155psi the last time Idid a ccompression test.

my buddy has been telling me to mix some fuel with C16 to reduce carbon build up. Hes running a 250r full c16 race fuel. mixing both would give me around ~100 octane.

We use regular gas and Maxima Castor Oil. Mix it 32 to 1 and you should be good. No need for anything crazy, it's a blaster after all. Sometimes we even use Shell Nautilus Oil and it works fine. I race in the weekends with my Blaster and no failures so far. :)

Castor based oils should never be mixed with other types of oil.

As the name implies Nautilus is for outboard use.

From the Shell website.

Shell Nautilus Premium 2-Stroke Outboard Oil

Nautilus Premium Outboard Oil is for all two-stroke gasoline outboard motors with or without separate oil tanks. It is a high performance lubricant for the superior protection of all two-stroke gasoline outboard motors. Its advanced formulation contributes to long and reliable engine life.

Castor 927 all the way! Lol

That's what I have used the blaster intire life.

Like blaaster said tho castor and regular 2 cycle don't mix. I've used maxima super m in a pinch works just as well, I just live by the of it isn't broke don't fix it Moto, inless of course to upgrade. I:I

Anyways when I switched over I empties the remainder of the tank and cracked the carb drain screw and refueled completely with maxima super m!

Good move, but there is quite a large amount of residual oil in the crankcase.

Castor and mineral oil do not mix.

Castor and semi synthetic should not be mixed.

Castor and fully synthetic will mix but not recommended.

I have progressed to Castrol R30 because of the unavailability of 927.

For maximum protection and power I mix at 25:1.

I don't think my dad mixes it but I'll let him know that he shouldn't haha. I'm still learning about my Blaster so I'll remember to drain it if I have to. Castor Oil is expensive but my dad loves it.
