good il wisconsin.. blaster got rained on the other day well i was working on a friends blaster in my garage.. now its 11 damn degreese out and hot heat in the garage... my throttle cable is frosen and so is my clutch cable... any thoughts on how to un freeze them?.. was thinking of taken heet ( put in your gas tank to help keep from gas line freeze) and i have some syringes from giving my son medicen , puttin the heet in the syringe and trying to squirt some down the cables??

thoughts? ideas?

hmm why the hell didnt i think of that.. im thinkin im still gonna have to spray soemthing in the calbes.. last weekend my throttle would freese but would unfreese after blaster running for a few min

yeah just a hair dryer or small heater, then maybe run some antifreeze down the lines with that syryinge. could help, just a guess though.

got some wd 40.. clutch cable was free in about 3 seconds.. gotta pull the cover off the thumb throttle to get the cable.. front brake calbes were frose to..

now that its sittin in the sun i gonna pull some stuff off and lube it up and paint some stuff... new pics coming soon

careful lubing the cables...once you do it, you've gotta keep up with lubing them. I prefer to keep mine dry, but if you've got ice in them, I guess there is no choice. WD will help prevent them from icing up again. Hair dryers are key!

Mine did the same thing. I just brought it in the nice heated garage and left it there for 3 days and it was unfroze and ready to go next time I wanted to ride.

im in AZ. its never snowed in my town. but lube always does the trick. it has additives in it to help from the freezing temps.
