Ok guys, I have got my donor/part-out bike down to the frame, swingarm and shock. The swingarm is loose and will come off with no problem but the shock is another story. I was able to get the bottom pin out and the nut loose from the top bolt but the bolt will not come out. I have sprayed the bolt and the eye of the shock several times with CRC Freeze-Off which has always worked for me on other stubborn nuts and bolts (including the A-arm ball joints) but the bolt will not drive out. The bolt will not even spin in the shock but the shock will swing up and down easily so I am assuming that the bolt is frozen to the bushing. I sprayed it down again a few minutes ago and turned the frame on its side to let it penetrate. If this does not work, does any one have any other suggestions? Thanks.

Tried the hammer route with no luck so far. Also tried 18v Impact. No luck again. Breaker bars sounds like a good idea. Wish I had thought of that earlier. :-[ I will have to try that in the morning. Hopefully it will loosen a little over night. Thanks.

I just hit it again with the spray. The shock is going away. Dont need it for my other Blaster. Planning on a 400ex for it. Just trying to get this one completely apart so I can use what I want/need and sell the rest. May try the PB Blaster tomorrow if this doesnt work. All I had in the garage was the Freeze Off. It usually works pretty well. Thanks again guys.

iv found soaking the problem over night with pb blaster, than hitting it with heat the next day works wonders..

my old 93 ranger had a leaky exhaust manofold gasket, 135k miles, hot and cold alll the time.. pb and a torch, and only one of 6 bolts broke

I have used the PB Blaster before and remember it was pretty good stuff. I'll probably pick up a can tomorrow even if the bolt comes out since I will have to do this all over again soon with the other Blaster. I hope that the shock bolt in it isn't "welded" in place too.
