Front two motor mounts cracked off.

if it vibrates excessively something is wrong. bad bearing somewhere or someone didin't line up teh locator dots on the crank balancer. that will vibrate it like hell
 
i fized a.buddys dont have pics atm but pretty much just drill some hole in some steel plates then put a bolt through them and ur motor and install the motor. simple tack the plates it and remove motor weld da hell outa it. grind clean, sand, and paint. thats how its done
 
well what i'm getting at here is how the hell did you crack 4 motor mounts without excessive vibration from the motor? you runnin a 40hp motor? lol. I could be wrong but I would think that counterbalacer is out of wack. ez to check. just pull the clutch cover and look there is a dot on the big gear on the crank shaft and the gear it drives(balancer gear) has a dot too if those two dont' meet eachother when rolling over the crank it is out of place and needs to be fixed
 
They broke while kicking it.. Couldn't get it to start which it does not 3/4 throttle soon as I let go it dies. Right down. Still didn't get them welded.
 
Holy resurrected thread Batman! but a good one, worth bringing up.

Ths often happens with Blasters. Mounts shake an break. Pretty common.
Often the bolts are still tight on the broke tabs, but just as often all the bolts are loose.
I am not completely sure how the tabs break, especially on a stock 17hp engine.

Any suggestions?
