frame differences?

What differences are there between the older frames pre 2002 and the later ones 2004-2006? Will the plastic, a frames steering, swing arm and engine swap to a newer frame with more modern brakes?

there are no differnces in the frame excpet the newer ones are modified for the hydro brakes and the front tires cant be flipped anything from an older blaster should be able to swap just fine

I wondered about the hood plastics, since I bent the original frame last weekend short version would be too much air at the top of hill and stump to close. I
thought a newer one with hydraulic brakes might be an improvement.

that sucks that you bent the frame but ya going with a newer one with the hydros would be a good choice

another difference could be that your headlight will have nowhere to mount.. you'd have to use the steering stem off your older frame..

They just have welded a bracket for for the 03-06 headlight. Youll be fine.

The hood mounts are different but it is easy to make them work,as stated there is a bracket welded on from factory for the rear master cylinder and resorvoir,footpegs are different but still work depending on situation,where all the electrical goes in front under the hood is a different setup (for 03-06 electrical)all you would have to do if using your 88-02 electronics would be drill or tap some holes for the cdi,regulator etc.,As stated the about the headlight the 88-02 does not work unless you use the 88-02 steering stem.It is deffiantely worth trying to get an 03-06 if you are in need of a new frame.I'll see if I can dig up some pics of the frame differences.
