Found this snake today

lol i knew it was something like that :p, are bull snakes the big black ones? i saw a huge snake last year that had to be 5 foot, it was black, thats all i really saw haha

5 foot, black, probably a blue racer, damn things will chase ya if ya run from em'. :o

bull snakes are brown and kinda blackish... well lots of snakes are. but all black snakes are usually black racers.

i heard a rattler here in pa but when i heard it i wasnt trying to find it lol ive killed a copper head b4 to we walked by this house and the f***er jumped at my one friend we stood like 15 20 ft back and kept throwing rocks til it was dead

Holy sh*t, how did this thread grow like this in just a couple hours? You guys all have lot to talk about as far as snakes go. Haha. This might be hard to believe but I actually took these pictures of a full grown hognose about 2 years ago, not too far from where I found that one today. I didn't realize it was a hognose because the full grown and baby ones look different I guess.

By the way, don't kill snakes. They're just other creatures like ourselves. They're beautiful animals. If you see one, just steer clear of it. They don't want to have to hurt you. The only time they'll hurt you is if they feel threatened, so don't threaten them. Even if it's on your front door step, just move it away with a long stick and have someone capture it to relocate it. Killing snakes for no reason isn't cool.

yeah, i dont kill everything i see or hunt, but i wanted a trophy for my collection, it was 57" with 8 rattles
i was gonna try eating the meat, i heard it's good sh*t??? but couldnt find my dads old freind to skin it for me that day, so it ended up spoiling
i ended up skinning it and tannning the skin, used brass tacks to attach to a nice rough pine slab then polyurethaned it, looked sweet hangin above my bar, but lost it and most of my other possesions in a divorce, so ended up getting bit in the end anyway, dirty biotch!!!!!!!
but agreed, snakes do a world of good for us controlling the rodent population, best to just watch from a distance

i hate snakes. i was stacking firewood when all the sudden a huge ass copperhead tried to bite me. scared the piss outta me. then the next day i was bush hogging the side of out road when a long black snake came along. but i haven't seen many snakes around here lately..

KNOCK ON WOOD!

There are a lot of people that hate and kill snakes... just like rats. But remember rats reproduce a lot faster!!!

Also the comments about not killing things.. I kill every grounhog I can on our farm!

Snakes is almost a every day thing here, on our farm we have seen black mambas over 9feet and puffadders(vipers) just short of 6 feet long. Some workers called me once saying the truck can't drive there is a snake in the road when i got there it was a 16" african rock pythom lying over the dirtroad from one side to the other, he just cought a small buck and was busy eating it, truck had to drive differnt way, he layed there for a week before he moved off.

f*ck that sh*t, if i see one and have something to kill it wth in my hand, that biotch going down lol. although here in P.R. we dont have posinous animals and its awesome lmao. All the snakes i see around here are common small black snakes.

I hate snakes and spiders
