OK, need some gurus here. I have a 04 and continue to foul plugs. Here's the deal. Starts and runs fine for about 5-10 minutes, then out of nowhere it just starts sputtering and then fouls the plug. Put a clean plug in and then it runs fine for hours. Only does this first ride of the day. Here's the specs:

Stock idle speed jet
260 Main
2nd needle clip position
Air box lid still on

Has no bottom end, but I guess this is normal. I haven't changed the idle speed jet, but didn't think that would be the problem. Changing from the stock needle clip position didn't make a difference. The thing runs great after you foul the first plug. Also, after a good ride the plug looks great. But let it sit overnight and then run it and it will foul.

Any thoughts??????

If everything else is stock then your jet may be a little too big but it dosent seem that un reasonable. try taking off the air box lid and maybe raise the clip up a notch. sounds like you maybe running a little rich while your warming up. also as soon as you start noticing it sputtering try pulling in your clutch and revving it a couple of times if it smokes alot and then runs fine again your loading up (excess oil building up in your crank case do to low rpms)
remember two strokes are built to be run at high revs.
