ford ranger tire size info help needed!

They are great trucks. I got one when I was 18 and i've had a ranger ever since. 12/22/11 is going to be a sad day. The day they discontinue production.

my stock rims on my 96 ford ranger 4x4 are 15x7" and i just bought brand new goodyear wrangler tires for them but now i'm looking at some new better looking rims but they are 15x8". i was wondering if my current new tires would fit on the aftermarket 15x8" rims i found. let me know guys, thanks alot! i'll give rep for help!

if you ever want to sell those stock 15x7's...let me know

i have some add-a-leaf springs for a ranger ('83 to '97) that i don't need too.

what rims are you getting that they don't come in 15x7?? You could fit the 15x8s but with stock 235s the rim is going to stick out further than the edge of the tire. If you rub up against a big curb, it could hit your rim and damage it, FYI.

where are you ordering the rims from?? most rims come in any size and backspacing you want. You'll want to make sure to get the correct back spacing with your new, wider rims, so that the wheels don't rub at full lock.
