Good morning and happy new year to everyone..

I just wanted to see who would be interested in having a meet this summer?

Some of us are in Pa,Wv,Md,VA,Carolina's, Florida and may not be able to make the national meet considering it's possible location in the badlands of IL.

the badlands looks like a blast dont get me wrong here at all.. I'm just saying.. For those of us who either dont have time to travel 7-10 hours or cant afford to but would like to have a small meet im all for it..

we could set a date this summer and roll..

ideas,info and suggestions please..

thanks

this has kinda been discussed before and always seems to die out, but we'll keep this in mind and be sure to revive this when spring starts rollin around, and hatfeild mccoy is on my list of destinations this year, but hey boost check this place out, it's only 20 minutes from me, went to they're open house last year, very cool, and i do plan on becoming a member this year........

Tri-County ATV Recreation and Rescue

I like it awk.Alot closer than hatfield/badlands for me.Whats the rates for a membership at this place.I looked but didn't quite find it.But it does say members only no guests,so I guess you need to fill out the application and see if you get accepted.Looks nice though and I wouldn't mind paying the place a visit.

i went to the open house, it was $15 and that would have been taken off the membership dues of $115 for the year<< i think, but no more, possibly $90, and that gives you 24/7 50 weeks a year (closed to atv's during rifle season) full access to 850 acres, a building to work on your bike if needed, a full kitchen, camping, drag strip w/starting lights, 2 mx tracks (1 kids), they give you keys to the whole place when you join, great deal imo, and i dont think theres any kinda application process, just pay the dues and you're in

funny part of that whole place is my buddy lived right on the edge of that property for about 15 yrs. and half the trails they're using we made, we rode and hunted that for years, i'll revive this thread or a new one when riding time comes around again, we will at least be having a local meet this spring/summer

explain the "in the truck" comment for those of us that are a little slow to catch on today

it probably will cuz i think ohio is on the west coast and the thread clearly says "For those on the east coast" Not trying to be smart or anything just saying.

blaster195 look at a map of the USA please. ohio is in the same timezone as you. i know your not trying to be a smartass but please look at a map

Gentleman plz.

Look.. I like it Awk looks great and seriously your not that far from me..650 acres is alot.
+ not even an hour the way i drive lol.. anyway.. the thread was for ppl in the mid Atlantic area.. Ohio is considered that bro.. ANYONE wanting to come FROM ANYWHERE is more then welcome to come..I've organized a few larger events as far as group gatherings its all in who REALLY wants to go..IF i can get people to say IM DEFINITELY IN.. then thats kinda what any meet needs.. LOCATION is critical..But again i don't see people in cali and oregon being able to come.. if they did sh*t they can have my tent lol..

Now. Again.. this is for those of you whom might wanna stay a little closer to home...This is for you..Unless you work for yourself or are a millionaire time again is critical because we only get so many days off.. ..So it makes a little sense to try and vacation around here a little without driving 8 hours ONE WAY to the location.

I totally agree with Awk.. Hatfield is a must this summer for me.. Anyone wanting to hook up and roll is more then welcome I could see 8-15-20 ppl showing up for it and having an experience of a life time.. Go to my post on it.. its one of the largest atv recreation spots in the united states..Look at the satellite pics in one of the link .. its a monster... I'm not looking for a track.. I'm looking to cut the leash a little, let the dog in me lose and do some free riding..All i want is a tank full of gas, friends, and a 4x4 to follow me to pull me out of large mud holes :)

Lastly.. Awk that link looks good.. theres 650 acres + another 200+ in reserve's.. looks excellent.. id be down for that before we went to Hatfield. Also in one of the links in that hatfield post.. theres a place that offers lodging, atv rentals etc.. not incredibly expensive.. but IF someone wanted to go and drive a 4x4 complete with a rope and a small container of gas... id pitch in a good bit.. maybe i can get my gf to do it..doubtful.. i think once she gets on it.. shes going to try the largest mud puddle she can find..lol

thanks fellas.. IF you want to come all are welcome.. i was looking more for a head count to see who would be interested..

when this weather breaks i'm gonna go join tri-county for the season, while there i'm gonna see what they say about a day long or weekend organized ride for us at the forum, see if they could let us do the $15/day just for a weekend or something???
just so everyone who dont live close would have to pay the $90 to ride one weekend, not hardly worth it imo, so i'll see what i can do, and also gonna check and see when the open house is this year, it has to be early in spring, cause i went to it, then broke my leg may 13, so its before that, and thats $15/$20 for the whole weekend, i'll check on that soon and get back with the details
