So I'm trying to figure out my exhaust setup... I currently have a Pro-tec head pipe and I also have a brand new FMF Turbine core II SST silencer. Now do I order a SST head pipe or do I order a silencer? Anybody ever run a SST setup?

heard its fmf with a powerband more for top end than a fatty. but if you have a sst silencer i would say go for it
Yeah I bought the silencer not knowing it would only fit the SST pipe. I called and talked to the FMF tech and he informed me of this. He also said the SST pipe is for mid to high rpm power. I just wanna know if anybody has used them.
first off see if it fits instead of blowing your money on a pipe just to fit your current silencer
Yea I went to hook it up to the current pipe and its like 3-4 inchs short. So I called FMF and they said that the SST pipe is longer then the fatty and thats why my silencer is shorter then a normal one.
ive got a fmf sst pipe silencer on my '04, and it has good mid to top power, but not mch low end. definately feel the power band surge
I run the SST2 setup on mine and its stout all over.I don't have anything to compare to such as a before and after since the entire exhaust was new and came with the ragged out bike when I bought it.I can tell you I'm not disappointed in it over all it makes good power through the rpms and it ridiculously loud at wot or atleast mine is.
