I have an fmf gold series pipe on a 2000 blaster. Ever since I put it on I get oil on the front of my motor. I know its leaking and I have a spring on it but has anyone else had this and is there a fix. Im tired of cleaning.

If you are talking about black spooge I believe that the pipes that are held on with springs are prone to leak a little if they are not perfectly mated.

I recently had a little tip over and some oil must have found it's way up the gearbox breather, and guess where the end of the pipe is, under the tank right over the exhaust port.

I can't recommend one as I have always used bolt on pipes and they seem not to be plagued with the spooge problem

the FMF's are infamous for this leak at the header, best fix ive found to assemble the pipe onto the header with gasket sealer, i have had success with this but it needs to be redone every now and then.

The ultimate solution i am getting around to is to have a new flange machined to fit precisely inside the pipe and thus prevent the leak.

Another more hospital job is to split the pipe about and inch with a hacksaw in 4 places down from the open end that slips over the flange and put a good quality exhaust clamp over it to squeeze it together, this however means defacing your header, its a last resort for me.

the leak is not a major problem, just a messy one.

I tried all thats been suggested except to cut it i dont see how that would work but whatever...

Anyhoo if you want it to stop leaking put it together and scribe alignment marks on the pipe and flange pull it all back off and have it welded or weld it yourself.

If you do it yourself keep in mind this materials thin!Dial your mig rig down very low to start with.

Howzit dude, I had the same problem, all I did was cut out a piece of "gasket paper" you can buy A4 sheets from your local automotive store" and wrapped it around the main pipe and then slide it onto the flange again, where it joins/touches the flange I also put some gasket maker "heat resistant silicone" and havent needed to clean it again.

Let me know if you need better instructions.
