did you re jet for the pipe. If not you are running too lean and the pinging sound is detonation and if you keep riding you are gunna blow it up.
i did rejet for the pipe, started of going up 2 sizes, then plug chopped and went up one more size and have to get more plugs to confirm if it is enough. so there should be no pinging sound at all?
You should be up around #290 on the main jet if you run 32:1 and the airbox lid removed.
As Whitty said detonation will kill the motor, and very quickly if you can hear it.
If you have rejetted, it would pay to do a leak down test to see if it is airtight.

i have a 280 in there now but there is still a bit of a ping to it. ill drop a 300 in it to be safe
If it is leaking there it may be confusing the jetting.
