Al.
I have both of these pipes now.. The FMF has been on the blaster since I got it,does anyone know what the pros and cons would be for running one over the other?

I have never tried the pro circuit, but like the way the silencer looks better ,compared to the powercore 2,but if the FMF performs better Id rather have function over fashion..

Blaster is .20 over, open air box,uni filter other wise stock..

Thanks guys!

slap that pro circut on, do a plug chop to confirm jetting, and give us a back to back comparison

Thats what Ive decided to do.. Im going to go buy new packing for both and see which one I like better..

Been a year since Ive ridden the Blaster, I have lost 60lbs since then,I wonder what kind of performance difference that will make! lol

Ill keep you posted.

Better late then never..lol

I seen the toomey dyno graph that shows the fmf out performs the pro circuit across the board,so I decided to find out for my self..
I finally had time to dedicate to swapping the pipes back and forth..
Mods on the blaster now are ,ported stock cylinder w/2 base gaskets, dual stage reeds, stock carb,k&n filter,+4 timing mod, stock gearing.. I ride trails both tight and open.

The fmf was up first..It pulls really good in the mid range, but fell flat up top pretty quick.. This was the first ride since porting and in the tight areas it felt like a beast..

Now Pro Circuit,I slapped it on,dialed in the jetting..Off I went..
I was expecting results to be very close to the fmf maybe a little less.
I was shocked,it feels like a different quad, its got that same hard mid hit,but keeps pulling much longer..My ass dyno says Pro Circuit out performs FMF,except maybe really low but,I dont use the low end much..

This all my opinion,I did my best to get the jetting perfect for each pipe, the Pro Circuit liked the needle a little richer then the FMF..

I've used mostly FMF on bikes, needing to tame the 250mx bikes for trail riding but the little time I used a Pro Circuit on a KX250, I felt the same as you. The FMF had better bottom than the Pro Circuit, making the 40+ HP of the KX more user friendly. I personally think my DG makes better top end that the FMF on my Blaster but I only rode it with the FMF around the house where I was wide open, liking the DG better. I would think the Pro Circuit would be more like the Toomey than an FMF, that's just based on my experience with Pro Circuit, on MD bikes and what I've read about the Toomey.

Interesting that DG performed that well. Most people would agree that it's a nicer looking stock pipe.

It's cool to see a back to back comparison of FMF and Pro Circuit. Thanks for the info, rep given!

It surprised me too. I got the DG on a non runner, installed it on my rider......much better than stock. Bought a FMF, expecting a big improvement but the FMF didn't live up to my expectations. I refinished the DG and I'm still running it. I think the DG is dammed by reputation rather than performance. I don't plan to stay with the DG, I'm always looking for a good deal on a Pro Circuit or Toomey but for now I think my money it better spent in other area's on the quad. When I get the suspension, brakes, wheels and tires the way I want, I'll get into getting some more power. Here is a thread I started on reports from people who has used the DG exhaust http://www.blasterforum.com/exhaust-137/who-has-used-dg-exhaust-system-49920/ .

I rode the Blaster some more and it RIPS with pro circuit on there... But now I have pipe fever,if the pro circuit was that much of an improvement over the fmf,how much better would a f7 or something similar be compared to the pro circuit? I dont need to buy another pipe tho..lol
