first thing you want to do is pull everything back off, flywheel, stator so just the end is there, get some lapping compound and smear it on the crank and then slide the flywheel back on, pull it off rotate it 180 and slide it back on, now push it on hard with your hand and rotate it back and forth, slide it off rotate it a little and repeat this process until the crank and flywheel are a dull grey the entire area where they seat, by rites you can run them without a key they are only there for location but like the gent before me they run like 60 or so foot lbs. and you want ever bit of that, don't use an impact to tighten it.
