Hey, I Have a float issue..After riding my bike it leaks a puddle out of the vent tube on the bowl. If I shut off my fuel, it quits. (Duh) However, If I dont turn off the fuel. It quits leaking but seems to flood my bike. (Hince it takes like 4 kicks to start, and stutters for a few seconds) If I shut off the fuel after I ride, The next ride seems to start in one kick. And it dosent bog at all when it starts. Today I was riding pretty hard, and when I came out of a corner and tried to get it to slide a bit, it seemed to bog down for a second but still had some power. I think it was between 2nd and 3rd. There is NO hesitation taking off or while casual riding. Does this seem to be incorrect jetting? or my float incorrectly set? I have already cleaned the carb like 10 times.

stock pilot, 250 Main. I think the needle is in the middle position.

Ps my air screw is almost all the way in. If I back it out the bike seems to run lean when I crack it open. (takes a while to come back to an idle)

defos dirt in the float or surrounding area.. had same prob

but if its all clean id play with air screw untill its fixed(screw it in untill tight and screw out 1 and 1/2 turns and work from there)

id also do a plug chop to make sure jets are ok

and clean out air filter, airbox

I would say your float is to high causing the fuel to leak. With the mods you list in your sig I would go up a jet size or two. I would try atleast a 270 or even 290.

Ya, the carb is all clean, The bike runs too lean when the air screw is 1-1/2 turns out. The bike takes way too long to come down when reved up. So right now its like a half turn out and its right on. So I assume I need a bigger pilot jet. But I rode it hard today, and it seemed like if I let the bike rev a bit longer when i shifted, it didnt bog. Ill play with it and get it right. Oh ya, the carb leak stoped today so ill see what happens. Thanks guys
