Flipping front wheels

i guess im not understanding the whole idea of flipping them and in what way r u flipping them

You'll notice the stock set up has both front rims mounted so the front brakes are protected inside of the rim's offset. Flipping the rims puts the offset toward the outside (rather than the brake side). This moves your rim & tire out about 1.5" per side......but leaves your brakes exposed to potentially getting hit by something on the trail.
