ya if you use lawn and garden tubes, and not atv tubes. Really if you are looking to get new tires in short order I would not use slime, it is the devil to those that have to change work on tires.
i plugged the sidewall of my 31" mud tire on my explorer , havent had a problem in 3 years, as long as he did it with a good amount of rubber cement it should be ok for a while

I hope you don't live anywhere near me!! IIRC, it is not only a bad idea but also illegal to plug a sidewall hole. Ever watch how the sidewalls work when you're wheeling.....they work hard!!
