First rebuild, need suggestions

Just bought a 97' Blaster for $200. Just about the only thing worth keep on it was the frame and wheels and tires which were brand new. I'm looking to rebuild this thing from top to bottom using the best parts I can afford.

I want to start with the engine. I would like to buy all the parts seperate and put the engine to together myself.
Does anyone know where I can find a list of all the parts needed to build the engine from nothing? or have a suggestion of a more cost effective route that will still let me have a big hand in making it run right.

Try searching for "blaster mods" you will find out all you can do. I have about $1800 in my motor, It's stroked, ported, modified head, larger carb, better reedcage, Piped like mutha. Power pros! It will rip your arms off!
