first 2 stroke 2005 blaster build first things first

any one live close to cincinnati and know where I can find a supplyer of pistons in stock I found a machine shop to bore it i just need a piston kit to take with me im going to a 67 mm to what i understand u can go all the way to a 68.50 mm or 2.50 mm over stoke which is 66mm from my inspection i no my bore is around 66.610 but it apears they bord the cylinder and used the factory piston my crank is still good but i poured gas from tank to jar for closer inspection and there is no sign of oil mixed so he ran gas whith no oil we'll see what happends when i get it bored and a piston back in it!!! I cant wait to tri it if any of the info is wrong please correct me so i dont over bore it also waiting on answers to

how do you check trany oil level?
and is there a filter im asuming not?

If your cylinder is currently at 66.610 mm and clean (just needs overbore not tapered or anything) why are you goin to 67mm? You could order a 66.75mm piston and keep one of your cylinder's lives...

On the very back bottom of the clutch cover there is a sight glass with two hash marks beside it. The oil level should be between the two hash marks. If it were me, I'll pull the drain plug and inspect what comes out and then refill with the proper amount of new oil (650 mL or 2/3 quart) so you know it's fresh.

There is no filter on the transmission fluid as it only supplies the gears and clutch with lube. When it gets contaminated, you drain it and replace.

I would go smaller if I could but the guy that I bought it off of ran it without oil premix and the injecter sistem was cut off so it has deep gouges actuly I think im lucky it was just the piston to be honest it could be worse lik it could have seazed and or bunt out the bottom end but i checked everything out and looks like im good to go on the top end only thats why im going to 67mm and I already orderd a wiseco top end kit cant wait to see what happends

i was thinking does any one have suggestions of things I could do while I wait for my piston think of sanding rust spots and panting them with somthing sugesstions on paint type?

what is the best rought to go from experiance paint or powder coat? powder coat will have to wait till winter but Ill do a touch up for now so it dosent rust any more than nessasary till I strip it and paint or powder coat, how long does powder coat usally last any longer than paint in nomal ware areas. I can alway repaint every year if I have to but powder coating is a bit more pricey I think

also does any one have a recommended maintance intervel list like a list of things I can go through?

how bout a instruction on proper break in when I put the new top end in
found break in procedures oppenions on the best way

also is it common for these frames to bend or break couse every one talks about gussets and stuff should i take it easy on her or give it hell?

has anybody ever bought and used these shocks http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-...781094QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

what is the best paint to use on parts

is it possable to make your own swing arm extentions and were do you find stubby air valves for fliping your rear tires also I found another project blaster but its a nintys 250 bucks is it worth it? doesent kick witch tells me that the cases have to be split it is ceased up so that means the crank has to be checked out right along with a topend job?

you don't need stubby's for flipping the rear tires, only the fronts with hydros
btw...i have a brand new set of flush valve stems i decided not to use, i paid $15+ shipping, yours for $15 shipped if you'd like ? pm me if interested.

crank play specs can be checked with just the top end off, no need to split cases if that checks out, and the piston didnt shatter sending pieces into the bottom end.
for $250, it better be in pretty good condition, only needing a top end ?

Sorry for the off-topic
Is There any benefit from flipping the rear wheels ? I Thoght they were simetrical ?

The front are not
And you can just fit the valves turned inside and drill anothe hole on the other side to flip them

I think stock Blaster are symetrical. I had Warrior rims w/22x11 and had to flip cause they rubbed foot/heel guards little, gained 1'' per side. All depends on off set.

tires let me know

its been a while since I up dated unfortenetly there are not any up dates, I have been serching for parts though I need tires bad and I would like to get a arm kit and swing arm from what I can tell theres no benefit to doing any fliping of tires i looked at them over and over again and they look the same any why I put them I am hopeing to fin some affordable kits couse i want to set it up for mx I ride it on tracks now but it needs the kits any info or good leads appricated

also what does case lapping mean?

i move my pics in photo bucket and now the gon frome here I will tri to put them back I also wanted to know about dimond j kits if there worth it or am i going to eat it on a triple I also found a set of front and rear yfz shocks for a houndred 120 bucks are they woth it?

i cant figure out how to edit my previous post if anyone know let me know
